What is The Beauty Sceptic all about?

Quite simply, it's an honest, unbiased look at beauty products from the perspective of someone who wants to navigate the minefield of 'miracle products' and 'beauty essentials' with as many hits and as few expensive misses as possible.

BS is a beauty blog with brains that likes to cut through the bullshit - because when times are tough, who can afford to waste a tenner or two on a disappointing foundation, or splash out on a must-have that 'must have' been dreamed up by con artists?


We now have more amazing, effective and all-round enjoyable skincare, haircare and cosmetic products to choose from than ever before, and this is a wonderful thing. But the amount of dross in the beauty cabinet has also multiplied, and we want to banish it from our bathrooms forever.
